A friend of mine is selling his. (96P 40k £9,500).

Quite quick to 60 (5.5 secs) but takes 17.0 secs to get to a hundred which whilst is swift I wouldn't say is great considering the quick 0-60 time.

looks great, goes well, decent equipment levels and not too expensive to maintain.

Standard GT is better value in terms of performance though, only 2 seconds slower to a ton, not bad for 70bhp less and no turbo!

My mate has one and it revs like an animal, not quite as quick as the scoob but fast enough (just hope the brake pipes last....2 day job)

Excellent - I certainly don't mind paying £550 for the insurance for a car that does this sort of speed.

Judging by the 5.5secs 0-60 I hope to disprove the 17secs 0-100 (autobahn allowing that is ! :-)

MattN - value is in the eye of the man with the cashola and I love the sound of a turbo

Hopefully I will be able to bring it on track some day but first is there anyone that can give me help on driving a four wheel drive car as all my others have been front wheel drive beasties ??

Oh well I just took the plunge and bought one of these beasties - I was originally looking for a scoob but the insurance was three times more than this little baby !!!!

I'm getting her this weekend she's a 1996 N with 34,000 miles and has the smaller spoiler on her.

Has anyone any info on these/owned one / opinions etc etc.

Much appreciated

Matt

Dom,

I was lucky one just popped up at the Toyota dealer - low mileage - good price and looking nice !! I've been trying to get a decent insurance quote on a scoob but can;t justify £1300 just for myself to drive.

I have some stats but wonder how it compares with a scoob

240bhp 0-60 6 secs (official figs) it is totally original at the moment

I had a GT4 for four years, great cars,
try not to blow the turbo though!!
I did, and it cost me £3k to rebuild the
little puppy. :-)

Yep, it was my own fault!
Always hankered after a Scoob and got
my 1st one last month. Happy Punter!

TeeCee.

TeeCee - how much were the 9,000 mile services and would you recommend changing the oil every 4,500 miles ?? Oh and how do you rate it now you have your scoob (still my next car)

I'm looking forward to getting hold of it this weekend - obviously to drive sedately up and down the A12.

As I'll probably be the only GT4 on the road hopefully my frantic waving will be returned by Subaru's in my local area !

I've got one - Ohh have I got one! Only one month and a blown gearbox!!!!!!!!!!!!
Toyota price £1700+vat and £350+vat to fit it! Fensport £600 inc vat and delivery - bloody marvelous!
That gripe over - they are a great car - maybe not as fast as a Scoob but better screwed together and there are not very many of 'em about.
Mine is the ST185RC 'Carlos Sainz' that famously didn't make it on the Midlands camping meet to Wales.
