STP injector cleaner -- use it or bin it?
#1
I found an unopened bottle of STP Injector Cleaner ('Safe for Catalysts') in my shed? Should I dump it in the Scoob's fuel tank or dump it in the bin, i.e. is it (a) useful, (b) snake oil or (c) harmful?

Not sure on its shelf life. I have used it on my old Vectra, Astra and MR" - cars 'seemed' ro run a little better, idle sommther, no noticable power increase after cleaning.

If you decide you want to use it... (assuming it's in date)... I would add it a (fuel) tank or so before an oil service... run the tank down as much as possible and refill to dilute any remaining cleaner before the oil service... that way any chemicals that could break down the oil are limited in the damage they can do.
