Firstly, an apology for being cheeky and posting this in General Q's, there's no such thing as bad publicity but feel free to bump me off to 'Wanted' or 'Non Scooby'.
I'm after a 1998 or later Nissan 200sx S14 Touring in either black or blue, manual, c.30k miles or less, and I've a budget of £9,500-£10,000.
If anyone sees such a car for sale on their travels could you please bear me in mind and let me know as I'm getting fed up looking!
I've got the cash stuffed in a pillowcase waiting to be spent on the right car and would really appreciate the help of all you lovely people, being sports car enthusiasts I figured you wouldn't mind me asking.
Obviously if you have a UK spec. Scooby for that kind of age and money I might be interested insurance permitting.
Cheers in advance
Dave

I think you'll be lucky to find a 98 touring for 9.5k.
11k is a more realistic amount.
You could get lucky, but you want a low mileage, high spec car for under book price!!???
I looked for ages and found a mint 98 's in black cheap at 11k. Dealers wanted about 13, and this was only back in March.
Good luck.

Dave,
I used to own one myself, and think they're s superb car...
More than you wanted to spend I know, but earlier in the year the Nissan Main Dealer for St Albans had two 00W 200SX Touring with 7K on the clock for £13K. One was in blue with cream leather, and looked superb.
I don't think you'll have any trouble at all getting one within your budget. For some reason (probably badge engineering and the fact that a lot lot people who buy a coupe want a piece of jewellrey first and drivers car second), they seem to drop like a stone in value. I'd check out top marques magazine and website.
Regards,
Gary.
PS: Matt - how are you getting on with Paul's old 200SX?

Gary,
No probs so far, went on a course to get the most out of it, great fun.
First RWD car I've owned, loving it.
Got a lot of the marks off the car (thanks to the wax wizard!!), just need to sort out the rear bumper and it'll be as good as new!
A great bargain!
