u.k, jdm, wrx, sti, Ltd Ed, budget? Prices have gone sky high with owners asking ridiculous prices thinking that every Impreza is now a collectors item.

I'd personally go JDM 2.0L sti hatchback for best bang for buck 2007-10. Pre hatchback are now silly prices.

import yourself, or pay a premium and get a fresh import or a one owner since import.

what tax group is your car? JDM's are normally PLG group 11 tax which is about £28 a month. I assume it is a 2.0L.

a 2003 sti onwards JDM will not have the scooby rumble/burble due to having equal length exhaust manifold pipes.

buy bug sti wagon,10k for wrx is a joke
jdm sti is better car and You can fit single scroll setup selling twin scroll to cover a costs.
Than You will have xenons on blob, quick rack, other gear ratio than UK and 8k redline

mine landed in UK brand new after September 2006 and they taxed it like UK Hawk, no idea why as it is 2.0l

doesn’t matter if it’s a 2.0l or a 2.5l, it is based on emissions and yours would be above the cheaper tax bracket, and the cut off is march 2006 for cheaper tax so if your car was imported brand new and first registered in this country after march 2006 it’ll be in higher tax bracket.

Yes, they could register it as used to avoid that.
It's ulez free, something for something.
But it does not make any sense looking on emissions for Ulez.

Don't know the car, just searched on autotrader.

JDM cars tend to have much less rust issues than UK cars of a similar age,but you do lose the exhaust burble thanks to the equal length headers, also the JDM blobeye wagon comes with just under 250bhp as standard,so about 30 more than UK version.

I've a real nice 2004 Blob WRX JDM Import. Over your budget slightly but a lovely example fully serviced, rust free. PM if interested.

My two 06 plus jdm’s were ulez compliant with no issues , my 55 plate jdm was not but is now , strangely my 04 monaro is ulez compliant even though it’s a 5.7 litre and is not what I would class as green , some older (pre 06) v8 range rovers are also compliant , the main thing is if 06 plus you should be fine , but some older cars are also fine , a quick easy check on tfl site helps 👍
