Selling 2006 Subaru WRX wagon 2006 MOT fail
Hi all
With regret and a heavy heart I have to sell my wonderful WRX as I have run out of money.
Firstly I hope I have this in the right place, apologies if not.
Selling;
2006 Subaru Impreza 2006 2.5lt turbo wagon. 118,857 miles light blue
Purchased on eBay and took straight to Scoobyworld Feb. 2018 (when they had a workshop) who tuned up to stage 1. Unfortunately they had no Dyno so mapped on the road hence no power maps.
Fitted ECUTEK ECU and remapped for 97 fuel
Full stainless steel exhaust with sports cat. Looking at the bill from them the exhaust is a Racebox New Age, sounds awesome on full chat!
Condition overall is average but straight and no real dents, just a few scratches.
Reason for selling is that it has failed it's MOT and the cost and effort is too much for me.
Main fail on MOT is emissions, this has happened almost every time I MOT. After speaking to Scoobyworld (love these guys, so helpful) they confirm the exhaust needs to be hot (not warm) when carrying out emissions and my garage is a general one so no understanding or sympathy. Last time the landor sensor needed to be replaced. I feel that with a performance garage this should not be a problem.
The rest of the MOT fails are standard parts that need replacing, Scoobyworld got prices for me and they aren't too much. MOT fails;
2 x tyres
Windscreen wiper
Light bulbs
O/S/front coil spring snapped, needs replacing
Headlamp levelling device snapped
Both front suspension arm ball joint dust covers
O/S/rear dampener
That's it, car runs fantastic £1500
Let me know if you need more information
