Default Cambelt kit

Hi all, can someone help me out. I live in Spain and parts are difficult to get hold of but I can get a Gates kit for my 2003 UK Sti. However there are 3 different kits available.

Does anyone have the correct part number for the kit or another make recommendation.

Regards

Ade

Have a look on the torque gt site , i would expect one belt would do the lot , any decent branded belt would be fine by me , don’t need to do the water pump unless it’s high mileage , import car parts I believe ship abroad , no scooby dealers near to you ? I even say one scooby dealer in cyprus and one in Malta 👍😁

that really helpful for suppliers stock holdings, etc........

the later Turbo cars MY03> all basically use the same kit not something we would stock or supply but the Dayco number is KTB551 I believe

This is the kit I bought and all parts are of very high quality made in Japan.

https://sixstarbernie.com/i-23179144...t-upgrade.html

This is their website but I bought the kit off their Ebay shop.
Shipping was cheap and quick even though I was not from the States.

Check them out.

you don't / won't require a water pump....in most cases the factory fitment is good for the life of the vehicle

why not get a set of pistons, rods, crank whilst your there - you know it makes sense right.........

lots of nonsense talked about what is required mainly driven IMO by re-sellers who either don't have the knowledge or blatantly try and up-sell

At minimum you should do the front crank and all four cam seals with the timing belt change.
Mechanical parts like oil and water pump may be fine but seals do wear out with age more than mechanical parts.
Your car is now twenty years old and changing those seals with your timing belt replacement is only a very minor extra in labor plus the seals themselves are very inexpensive. I would highly recommend this.

For me it’s always just been tensioner and belt , last fsti got to 198 k , the only time the other bits were changed was 93 k engine re build , pretty sure the water pump was fine and never changed

I just had my cambelt kit done and old parts were fine, even belt looked good. Feels a waste to throw them. But can't see anyone wanting them.
