Default 225/40r18

HI Guys.

I have a classic wagon, with some rota formula wheels to go on them. Previously i was running 215 35 18, however this time intend to go with a bit more of a comfortable look. the rim details are 18x8, and i was planning to put 225/40r18 tyres on them. the car is on standard suspension and wanted to know if they will rub? I am assuming they would? unless i have some tein springs or even coilovers?

Help much appreciated.

Try Willtheyfit.com to show you how much difference, then look at your own car and see if the increased dimensions will fit or not.

found it very useful changing wheels and tyres on my volvo, but I'm sticking with P1 17's on my Classic wagon as it's a good compromise.

Thanks guys, according to there calculations, it will fit, however, i will be close to the arch, since i have not changed the wagons suspension, its probably not up to its best, so i assume i will expect some rubbing. Unless i go for 215 40 18, is that an odd size?

Stick with 215/35/18 cause it's really touch and go especially on an 18z8" rim if they where 7.5 wide maybe. I'm pretty sure the wagon is slightly narrower.

Rainsport 5's aren't too bad had a set of 3's and took them off the next day very soft sidewalls but the 5's seem alot better. As you'll know 215/35/18 is an awkward size

Rainsports are not that bad tooo, got a family member with them on. I just like a clean tidy side wall. Im quite old skool and till today nothing beats the good old bf goodrich tyres. the best side wall ever designed. clean and slick.

Cant wait to get these wheels on the wagon. It should look tidy!
