Default Random thinking ?

So I would love nothing more than to drop a fresh forged engine in with all the trimmings, but as cash dictates that carnt happen just yet. Iv already done all the undeebody, brakes and suspension, its just power I want, it feels slow again.

Its a second car so if it goes bang I dont rely on it.

my car is an 03 uk sti, im told fully forged, decent internals spec, rcm manifold and 3" rcm straight through, walbro 450 pump, I have receipts but no one seem to know of the builder.
Im running 420bhp now with an mdx321t.

So im thinking upgrade my surrounding parts while im saving for a build.

new ecu probably a link ecu, seems value ove syvecs to look after it for a road and occasional track car.

Im told my de-caped injectors should be changed as its an old thing to do so maby Id1050.

I still have standard map sensor so get a 4 bar map sensor.

and im thinking about water meth injection, prefer it to in tank

how much as a ball park would you expect to pay for them 4, I can fit myself but then will need a remap.

or should I just save and do it all in one hit, id like to be running forged cdb 2.5 or 2.35 I would like to see 600bhp+ I know it aint cheap im expecting 10-15k is that realistic?

should I upgrade now or do it in one big hit ?

The boost you can run on any turbo will be limited by the knock threshold of the fuel you are using. It’s highly doubtful you’d be able to run 2bar on a turbo like that without running E85 or race fuel. You can run flex fuel and a meth mix, which will net you around 10% more than your maximum on pump fuel. The amount of boost you will actually be able to run will largely come down to your setup but you might see somewhere between 1.6-1.8 bar peak, dropping back to around 1.5ish. An MDX321T should see you around 450-480ish, but again it’s setup dependant. The next step up in stock location would be something like an MDX321V or Precision 5530 which should see 500 on the right setup. I’m running a stock location 5530 on a sleeved 2.5 with built Dual AVCS heads and stage 2 cams and I saw 520bhp/550lbft on pump fuel and 560bhp/600lbft on 25% meth mix.

If you are looking for 600bhp+ I would say you’d need more than £15k. A good 2.35 or a sleeved 2.5 would be around £10k for the long block alone, and then you will need all the ancillaries to run it such as engine management, intercooler, rotated turbo, a proper fuel setup etc.

we do various cost effective injector options and have never been a fan of simply de-capping...........
321T "should" run nearer 450+ and probably higher with the correct set-up regardless of engine capacity which in very basic terms makes no difference to the actual BHP

Yeah I definitely need to change them injectors. Alyn I will come to you to order my parts 👍.
So if using flex fuel, is that a better option over watermeth injection systems can link ecu run flex fuel the same as syvecs ?

Im running water meth which is controlled by my link g4+ , id have to check but i think I'm getting an extra 7 degrees timing when at 45% throttle or air inlet temps or 4500 rpm .
On the devils own injector there is a thimble filter that will have to be kept clean at service time or after long period of standing also i would recommend a flow sensor to let you know if there's a blockage ,this can happen .
Go to nasioc and look up water/ meth and read every thing that Richard from Aqua mist has say on the subject .
If your running a front mount you should install the injector 6 inches before the last bend before the throttle body to ensure equal dispersal in the manifold.
