Default Map sensor advice

Hi guys,

in the middle of a project and looking to get mapped in around 6 weeks, as I’m going through things to make sure there will be no problems I have thought about the map sensor possibly needing to be upgraded?

the spec is

2.0 forged cdb.
v3 sti heads with cosworth gaskets.
arp head studs.
rotated inlet manifold.
front mount intercooler.
billett parallel fuel rails.
740cc injectors.
link g4 ecu.
rcm fpr.
walborough in tank fuel pump.
aem external high pressure 380lph fuel pump running swirl pot.
rotated turbo with external wastegate.
gtx3071r.
rcm headers and 3 inch through grp a exhaust

am hoping to be around the 500bhp mark, currently running a Harvey smith ported tdo5 20g @1.6 bar in oem position with Harvey smith trick up pipe on 5 speed box @360 bhp due to box.

6 speed is also going in from 03 spec c with dccd.

it looks like it’s the standard map sensor But not sure what sort of boost I would need to be running to hit my target and if this would be ample or not?

I was looking at purchasing the link 4 bar map sensor to cover this issue if needed? Has anyone or is anyone using this?

If you are planning on running 2 bar + then you need a 4 bar map sensor, the standard map sensor will be good for 1.7bar, if you’re going to stick under 2 bar then a 3 bar map sensor will allow you to run up to 2 bar. Hope that helps

As above if you are thinking of going anywhere near 2bar, then best get a 4 bar sensor, it's good to have some headroom in the sensor, you will be maxing out the standard sensor other wise and can cause boost instability.
