Japanparts.com do the set or if not just buy the dials that they also sell but separately and as been said spray the current trim flat or satin black, think the dials are summit like 30 quid each plus a few more quid for the silver surrounds.

Man these kits are a lot of money?
Nice, but useless to me as my Spec D has a single din Pioneer stereo and a storage compartment underneath, You press the lid and it opens, it only ever has my iPod Nano in it lol
I also wouldn't go down the painting route.
Nice, but too dear in my opinion.

The kit is expensive. Not sure why some JDM - particularly the RAs had that horrible coating where it goes all sticky.
I did paint a set - I used plasticoat which did give it a nice texture actually but scratched quite easily.

the paint goes off , and turns into a best described as a soft glue finish , same issue as my Fsti , probably the best way to paint them is gently warm it to get the old paint off use some thinners to remove , and then re paint them , one of the fsti has had that done and painted grey which is a hard finish and looks nice 👍

Pretty sure it’s real carbon fibre from memory, this car on eBay has it fitted.

So it's like a phone case for your centre console. Can't say I'm a fan, especially how it leaves part of the silver on display so it just doesn't look finished. Fairly sure they've only done that because it's more difficult to make a mould and then the part with those extra shapes. True carbon skinning is still the way to go IMO if this is what you want.
done in the original silver.

It's funny. I've sent all the plastic interior parts off my Evo away to be carbon layered but seeing it on an Impreza doesn't seem to suit it somehow.
Mildly concerned I'm not going to like the finished article on the Evo now!

You can see the original 3 white LED's in the middle replaced by the red ones on the right. They're PLCC-4 3528 LED's (tiny little buggers with 4 contact pads).

Assuming you're talking about the HVAC dials, there's no need for drilling. Just some slightly fiddly soldering.

Think 10 years back i have seen mod on Nasioc involved drilling and wiring some other leds.
If leds are white maybe some amber film in the ***** will do a job.
In a meantime single din with auto lid painted and fitted.
Din lid painted using same paint sprayer can-satin black ,old parts painted with it darken over time maybe due of some cleaning wipes used.
Looks better in person than on picture.

Just took apart a spare I have to take a look inside and refresh my memory a little. There's really no good way of adding coloured film to the faces. You'd either need to cover the LED's and make sure no white light gets through or try and get some film thin enough to fit between the face and diffuser part. I remember now trying with lighting gels and the face wouldn't fit with the gel in place. Honestly if you're already in there, just do the soldering.
