No way, so there making new shells? Or old stock?
The P25 will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June, and the first cars will be delivered to owners later in the year. If you’re keen, then be quick - Prodrive is accepting 'expressions of interest’ now...
Wow that's good news.

Think it was something like 25 being built at £450K and some confusion as to whether they are already all sold.
Least that is what some dude on Failbook said.

They are sourcing type r 2 door shells, building 25 of them, don’t worry about the shells being 2nd hand they will be as new by the time they are ready to be assembled and much of it will be replaced with carbon fibre panels.
I wouldn’t worry about the 2.5 either, it will be substantially different from a standard chocolate engine but most of them will probably sit in a nice warm heated garage and hardly be driven

Maybe they’ll use a billet block with the fire seal gasket rings. I’m presuming they want to prioritise torque to make it spool quickly and feel like the modern turbo cars.
it’s a shame these cars are all likely to end up in collections. I can’t see anyone spending half a million quid on a Subaru and driving it every where

It's Prodrive here I wouldn't worry about then turning it into a boring car, where you can't feel what your wheels are doing on the road, or lack of feel through the steering and feel disconnected from the driving experience.

25 peeps who are wealthy contacts of prodrive who placed deposit's off plan i would imagine. Probably large companies who'll use them for events to gain attention.
But if they are indeed all sold why release the price in their press release ?
Just makes me wonder what a company like RCM would deliver for similar money, fairly sure it wouldn't come with a standard OEM rear subframe and off the shelf superpro ARB's
Don't get me wrong, its a good thing for all us impreza owners as it'll bring alot of attention to Subaru, but i can't help but see an old Type R with a carbon dress on, a forged engine and sequential box fitted. Hopefully once more details come out it proves to be alot more than that.

Remember when Prodrive built the P2 with Impreza running gear, styled by Peter Stevens? They had all that experience, but clearly there wasn't the business case, even though it was a sub 4 second to 60 car with a fancy diff etc.
So, 25 x £552k less 25 x £152k (?!?) to build might equal a cool £10m profit.
