Default Introduction and WTB

Good afternoon all,

I am a long time admirer of the Impreza and have test driven a few (WRX / Turbo's) but never taken the plunge. My interest started back in the 90's watching the WRC on TV and like most people became a huge fan of McRea and later anyone else driving an Impreza.

I have a history of Celica GT4's but dont hold it against me, I am now looking for my first Impreza

I have a quite specific model in mind, either a Green classic sportwagon WRX / Turbo or a Gravel Express

I am based just outside of Leeds but willing to travel to view either of the above if they fit the bill

cheers

David

I have but not found the car yet, I dont mind a project at the right price
I was very interested in a Gravel Express that went on e-bay but the auction ended early, presumably a deal was done plus it was an auto so not ideal and it had much of the gravel express components missing

They tend to go for silly money now. What's your budget? Remember when they were less than a standard Impreza estate.

trying to find a decent gravel express is going to be a very challenging task indeed as most have seen better days due to how they were used or will be on the expensive side due to them being a little bit diffrent

might be a case of looking to import
I am out of touch with the "go to importers" these days
I have tried contacting a Japanese side "find and supply" company but didnt get a reply

not sure it even still exists but yes was a MY99 or MY00 Turbo2000 wagon in green........
he moved onto "better" things after having a fall-out with various peeps I recall and at one point stood as a UKIP counsellor

Having bought the green wagon as a project the car I was waiting for came along
It means I have to decide whether to keep the project or sell one of my other cars to make the space but the chances of finding another are too slim so the deal was done
