Default F.A.O DON

Hi Don, apologies for this rather simple question but could you point me in the right direction regarding parts numbers for the rusty bolts on my bonnet lock and the headlight bolts aswell as 1 of them is looking rusty so I will replace them all, also the clip for the top radiator hose...much appreciated as usual don👍 I will buy radiator brackets from scoobyworld.

Another option is remove the rust with the Deox stuff then I think @hedgecutter uses zinc primer once rust is removed.

Citric acid is much cheaper than Deox C and does just as good a job. I bought Deox originally but when that was used up I bought some citric acid and I can’t tell a difference.

Are we talking about the food stuff (crystals in a packet). If so whats the ratio you used.

hi, if you're just buying off the shelf stainless bolts, then ensure you buy flanged ones, also Kay's Fasteners on ebay are very reasonable.

Yes although don’t buy little packets of the stuff. I use about 1 kg per 15-20 litres of water same as the Deox. There are theories going about that Deox C is just citric acid maybe with a couple of other additives to slightly improve its performance but like I said I haven’t noticed a difference between the two.

Nice alternator cover 👍and rad brackets.

Are you expecting your gas struts to fail? As you still have your bonnet stay in place or is it just belt and braces.?
