Default C Diff light flashing

Hi. Ive just removed the steering wheel from my 06 Sti Hawkeye and replaced it with a quick release hub and momo wheel. I've lost the horn and got an airbag light on which I was expecting but the C diff light is flashing at the bottom of the dashboard light. The centre console button doesn't do anything now.

Any ideas how to fix this. I'm guessing it's now more rear wheel drive.

Many thanks

as above re the wheel , maybe i’m old school , i like the sti steering wheels ,plus you have an airbag the way people drive it’s worth it nowadays , i bought a jdm fsti with a momo one , first thing i did was put the standard one back on 👍

As above did you remove the ribbon cable if so your beat you need it for airbag, horn and steering angle sensor. None of the systems will work without it.

I swapped the wheel for security really. Make it a bit harder to nick. I can rewire the horn and bypass the airbag light with a resistor. It's just the C diff I'm worried about.
Will it damage my Diff? Am I driving round not in four wheel drive mode?
I've only had the car back 2 weeks. Its been at scoobyclinic getting an engine rebuild after the head gaskets failed.

Personally I would get a steering wheel lock and out the old one back in. On a separate note your outside thermometer looks like its on the fritz unless Stoke really is 41 degrees

The steering angle sensor is a key input into the AWD system because the centre diff shuffles the torque around based on steering angle, speed, throttle etc. Disconnecting the steering angle sensor stops the AWD from working properly so it goes into a degraded state.

Anyone want to buy a momo wheel and quick release hub 😆.
And it's always hot in stoke 👍

Good lad put it back as was
Make sure you centre the ribbon cable before putting it back on and wheels straight.

Swapped it back. Horn and airbag back to normal 👍
C Diff still flashing 👎
I'll have a fiddle about with it tomorrow.

I can't get that ruddy light to stop flashing now. Had the wheel on and off 100 times. Tried putting full lock on the wheels then putting the squib back on at full lock and the C Diff is still flashing. Doing my swede in now.
