https://www.broquet.com/
As used initially in the P1 to raise the RON number but also as later found out in later models as well.
One "dropped" into each half of the tank.

I'm sure I read they expire after a certain amount of time. Thats why a lot of them needed a rebuild at 70k.

Briefly, Broquet is a catalyst in pellet form that when fitted into the fuel tank or fuel line of a diesel, petrol or oil fuelled engine, reacts with the fuel to improve the efficiency of the combustion process. It will treat the fuel for 250,000 miles or 400,000 kms. (6500 operating hours for marine and off-road applications) and
works not only by promoting more efficient combustion but also removing, and then inhibiting the build-up of carbon deposits, waxes and gums that normally form in the combustion chamber. The overall result is significant reductions in exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, more power and less maintenance due to cleaner combustion components and lubrication oil.

There was also a 2 star leaded fuel. 4 star smelt so damn good! There was so much more bang in fuel back then, and what have we got now? Water and alcohol lol

OK iv put them back, it's a 2003 uk sti. I was surprised that in the tank the fuel pump sits in sort of a tank in the tank, gessing to help keep fule at the pump, is this in all the tanks?
the tank is off as I'm going to strip and re-paint it.

If it's like this then it was previously upgraded by someone to a SpecC anti-surge pump assembly or are you talking about a fixture welded to the base of the tank?
AFAIK the tank itself is just flat, hence surge problems on RH corners when fuel low

I remember 4 star, my mum taking me to school. She'd stop at a petrol station, wind down her window and say "£5 worth of 4 star please" probably gave her Honda Quintet half a tank!

No it's definitely not the spec c type.
I will get pictures tomorrow, if not tonight, its bigger than the opening in the tank, so must have been in from new, looks to have factory spot welds holding it to the bottom of the tank.

OK some pics if fills from the jet pump and the circle you can see on the right hand side goes through the base to the main tank, probably about 10 thou clearance from the base of the
tank
