Question Registering import with DVLA

Decided to get back in the Subaru game after 6 years away, Mercedes is comfortable, boring and making me feel like an old codger.

So I have imported a classic Impreza 1998 WRX from Japan back in November during lockdown, all taxes etc have been paid, and I gave the transport driver the orginal export certficate to show at the docks and bring the car, now I don't know how but somehow the original export certicate has been misplaced as I can't find it anywhere, the company at the docks is admanent they don't have it.

It seems I need the orginal export certificate to send to the DVLA for the V55/5, I have emails with copies of all original documents inc invoices, paid taxes, export certificate etc could someone please tell me if they will accept original copies or is there any other way? It seems I can get manufacture certifcate from a Subaru club instead?, if someone could point me in the right direction to finally get back on the road with this classic.
