I had a lovely private message from Shelley from Maxpeedingrods, offering to partner with me. I had a gander at their site, and they can do a coilover set for my car for £245 . I think I'm onto a winner.
But I'm a bit worried that on Trustpilot identical reviews have been made by several different John's, so maybe I should play safe and go for one of their turbos. After all, they sponsor the Chinese racing car championship, or something

can't see any harm in giving some of there kit a go really , of course some of it won't be much good but they do all sorts so bound to fin something useful lol ,, they do turbos so could end up with one of them yet lol

I did, but I've got strong opinions on buying from China and the way they **** on their minorities, so she may not reply to me.

the website says when ( not if) it breaks there is a guarantee, so it's ok.

there is bound to be something I can use really ,, even if its just the universal intercooler pipework lol ,, free stuff is never a bad thing as long as it comes without risk lol,, worst case I will use there kit to mock stuff up and swap out later on

 

Well if I bought this I would have saved a fortune on the engine build of mine... think I'll pass on this offer

it has some uses that I know will come in handy lol ,,, for the sake of posting on my thread that they have sent me it I thought id take them up on the offer lol ,,, to be honest though im only using it for mocking up as it saves me buying a decent one and it sitting around in the garage for ages while the build gets finished lol ,, they just wanted me to say they gave it me for testing ,,, all they wanted in return was a comment on my build thread and my instagram so I thought what's the harm lol ,, im also getting set a load of universal cooler pipework that will come in handy when doing my front mount

 

The profit, and the harm, comes from questionable labour practices in China ( working conditions, H&S, pay, forced labour) and little spent on controlling pollution. Plus ultimately, it's supporting a country's economy that aggressively controls every aspect of its citizen's lives, bullies its neighbours , and breaks international agreements in its territories like Hong Kong.
All whilst making crap products and copying others without license.

 

I dont try to understand how this world works mate I just live in it and do my best to enjoy life ,,, worrying about stuff that is completely out of my control and on the other side of the world isnt really my thing but I do get what your saying ,, but I dont think turning down free parts will change anything as you will have to look a lot higher up than someone making a living selling car parts ,, and thats the point these people are making a living as best they can ,,,, if it was a choice between my kids starving and copying parts from another country I know what I would be doing and thats selling parts to whoever would buy them regardless of who it made unhappy ,and there are plenty starving over there ,, so I get both sides of the argument
