Default Rota Force

https://youtu.be/pOtmoOQShy0 I need these wheels! I need that fitment on my 07 hawk STI UK. I’m sticking with 225/40/18...

Anyone with knowledge, what specs are required to clear brembos without requiring spacers and/or rolling. I need that exact fitment. Thanks!

Rota Force in 18x8.5J fitment easily clear Brembos although I’d recommend 235 or even 245 section tyres as 225s will be stretched.

Worth knowing that the spokes of the wheel stick out further than the rim or tyre and hence are very susceptible to kerbing.

I actually sanded down and sprayed my wheel after I got too close to a kerb and it looks fine but it’s easily done. I couldn’t sleep at night knowing it needed doing so I got it done in a day. White on white is easy but I’m guessing colour matching specific wheels will be harder.

How heavy are the wheels. I know I sound like a party bore lol.

I remember years ago we used to get discount on rota wheels. Don't think thats the case any more.

Just need the green light on rota force 18x9 et35, with 225/40/18...

I’m guessing et27 would stick out more?

Im running rota force 18×8.5 et 48 with 225/40 tyres, clear brembo's no problem, as been said earlier the spokes do stick out and could easily catch a high kerb, i actually picked mine up from Ruislip tyres coz that were the only place local ish to me that had them on display and i wanted to see them in the flesh so to speak, i think the guy from there is a member on here or used to be.

On the contrary - it’s a shame that lots of people don’t seem to care about how much wheels weigh.

The info you want is easily available via search.

I try to go lighter with. Had OZ Ultraleggras and they are about 6.53kg.

I did have a quick search for the rotas but couldn't find their weight. Was more of out interest than anything else

Remember for every Kg you save at the wheels its like you have saved double that else where on the car

A search for “Rota Force 18x8.5 weight” shows results immediately

Albeit for PCD100 fitment though no reason to believe PCD114.3 would be different.

Can't find them for my size (was comparing them to the OZs). Decided to look at the 18" for comparison vs 18" OZs and there is a massive difference.

Based on what I have found Rotas are 9.98KG and OZs are 8.66KG. That to me is a significant difference in weight for the same size wheel. Not trying to turn this into a waving contest but the wheel weight would be a serious consideration on a performance car (but then we don't always do it for performance lol). If its the style that you like perhaps look at another brand that does a similar design but at a lower weight

I’m coming from a pff7 wheel as well. Goner stick with it for now till I decide to sell up and get the Rotas.

So yeah, can anyone tell what specs they are in the vid just by looking at them?

Previous owner had the wheels powder coated but the company did a really bad job considering they were almost £800 to do the colour. It started flaking on the inside where the tyre goes. I had a set of Ultralite Atecs, refurb job on them was much better.

Personally I quite liked the design on the Ultraleggras. Some say they are more of a euro wheel rather than JDM. A mate had a set on his Clio 197 too.

What colour were you thinking of going for and what size.

I was looking at 17x8 in Matt black. I love the look of them but not sure if they will work on the scooby. I was also thinking on the enkei ts9 but the et is 45 while the et48 on Oz wheels may be a better fit. The chap from the store said there was a possible brake clearance issue. Again they would be 17x8

Thats what my car looked like with the Ultraleggras on. Don't have any side shots sorry.

Picture looks a bit funny tried sorting out the colours but looks like it has a load of filters on instead.

I looked up the weight of the atecs and they were 5.5kg on their website but when I took the wheels off I'm sure they were stamped 5kg. However when you go on the site now they come up 8.9kg. I'm sure they weren't that heavy

Wheel weights seem to be all over the place, looked up another wheel that is really light and the official website says they are 35kg. Spoke design will also play a part in brake clearance. I was running 6 pots under the ultraleggras.

Cool thanks. It looks like they have been redesigned slightly now but same overall look. I'm waiting back on fitment advice on the enkei ts10 ATM.

Are Rota wheels good quality? It seems they are low middle range if not mistaken. Not seen any in the flesh but quite like the SS10s now. I'm comparing with OZ or Enkei in general.

I think Bola wheels are supposed to be decent quality, a lot of there stuff is flow forged now.
Reasonably priced as well.

You do realise you drive a Subaru , joking aside i know what you mean but some of the Bola designs are ok as
far as i can see, google Rota wheels cracked, all sorts of horror images to go at, they're a cast wheel, at least some
of the Bola range are forged.
