Default version 6 sti EJ207

Good evening, I’m just looking for some clarification on how much power a standard v6 EJ207 can take with out forging the internals.

I believe it’s a odb and that was changed in 2000 to a scdb but I’m more interested in the pistons and rods, what kind of power are they good for? I’m toying with upping the power a bit in the future to say around 400( I know it’s not all about figures) but gives people an idea of what direction I should head in. I’ve been told it’s probably more economical to buy a newage ej207 bottom end which are supposedly good for 450 bhp.
