Default RCM GT35 hybrid Turbo. Any good???

Someone has a few second hand bits for sale and im thinking of getting one of these to go with a newly built forged sti engine.
any reports on them?? good or bad? what power are they good for?

Depends on which one it is.

400 420 450 or the 500

it sounds like you are talking about the older version

there are 2 versions one has a p18 housing the other a p20

I ran the p18 on my my02 wrx with a std bottom end and got figures around the 390 bhp, most stis /p1's got in the 400's on v power

If I remember correctly Bob Rawles ran the p20 version with figures knocking on 500 with a built engine not sure which fuel

I swapped my p18 for a RCM 500 as I now have a built 2.5 and wanted more power

I was always happy with the turbo, there are said to be gains in spool with the new version
