Default Stuck a bit of 97 Ron in

Had the car Mapped last week and it was running fine, and now its running a bit ****.

On my way home from the garage the tank was just on the red ,so i had to stick a fivers worth of 97 Ron in to get me off the motorway , i then filled it with V power before i got home, its still above 3/4 full but running crap.

Could that small amount of 97 be causing me issues you think?

The Mappers a closed now for the Holiday too

Normally it shouldn't, if you need to put in other fuel they say keep off boost till you can get the stuff you want. Very dependent on mapping too. However not all 97 is equal, where did you get it from.

You may be imagining it. If it is Esso 97 that is usually ok. My car runs great on V Power and Tesco Momentum. BP Ultimate 97 is horrible stuff and car seems to pant like a hot dog, though I could be imagining it!

You could always stick an octane shot in it just to be sure....

Could try reset the ecu incase its picked up on the **** fuel being in & made some corrections.

if its not away by next time u need to fill up i'd go down this route to be sure.

It is so tiny I wouldn't worry. I have been caught out and had to put some 95 in in the past. Just run very gently til you have enough good fuel running through.

Mine used to run crap on Esso and Texaco if I was caught short. Always run on V-Power when in UK and it's fine.
