Default Looking for advice

So many, many years ago, my husband and I took my Impreza off the road to do the cv joints and a few mods. Unfortunately due to babies, work, life.. it stayed there. It’s been in a barn on a farm for 8/9 years now. It was started up every so often up until about 18 months ago, and due to intruders, had its windows smashed and a few dents along the way.

Due to our separation, I’ve just been landed with it, in all it’s sad state!

I loved this car and if I had the means, I’d do it up myself. But I don’t. So I’m going to have to sell it but I have absolutely no idea what I should be looking for for it! Any advice would be much appreciated

it’s a 1992 Impreza WRX JDM AWD

thanks

Hi Paula.

Do you have any pictures? Was it standard? or any modifications?

Thanks
H

My husband was the mechanic and tinkered with it but I just enjoyed driving it 😂 I have no idea what it’s got. It did go in a rolling road pre sorn and came off at 330bhp. That’s all I know I’m afraid other than dump valve and turbo timer!

I know it’s a classic but still not sure if I should just be scrapping it, as guessing it’ll be ceased up now. Last time it was started it leaked fuel everywhere so lines were corroded. Will try add photos now

Looks saveable to me, lack of rust on the rear arches is a really good sign, certainly don't scrap it. Don't accept any silly offers on it either, I'd put it on ebay with as many photos as you can of the underside as even a clean shell is worth some money.

i second the idea of ebay , it will be a good project for some one , if the shell is good then that’s a big plus point , it sounds like it needs a fair bit doing to it certainly service wise before it’s even started ie cam belt , but parts are readily available , just an honest ad on ebay and buyer collects , start at a grand and see what you get , good luck with it 👍
