Hello all,

I am looking to take the plunge and become a scooby owner after many years of being tempted.

I have got about 6k to spend. A good example for this money seems to be an 04 reg WRX with about 40-60k on the clock. I am just in the early stages of looking for the right car, but I would appreciate any advice on potential pitfalls, things to look out for etc - especially for cars of this age and mileage.

Also any general comments regarding the joys (and sorrows!) of Impreza ownership would be very much appreciated. I want to know what I am letting myself in for!

my advice go for a clean un-modified scooby. i made the mistake of gettin a modified one and when it came to replacing parts, was very expensive.

Your ideal car will have fully documented service history and have not been in a major accident.

You would certainly enjoy a WRX PPP, of which there are several around.

Thanks for your help so far guys. For my first one I am planning on getting a completely standard, unmodified car. I just wondered if there were any special quirks or pitfalls with Imprezas from around 2004, or anything I should be looking out for?
