Default Cylinder 4 mod?

Whilst searching the Internet I came across reports of mods for the cylinder 4 cooling.
Is this snake oil or is this worth doing to help prevent Ringland failure as I have a 2.5 lt (fsti) is there anything else I can do to prolong the life of my engine. Thanks for any advice..

Thanks for the above information
After everything I've just read and watched it seems worth doing it's not very expensive and could potentially save me a lot of money and tears in the future, the car will be going into engine tuner when this covid stuff sorts out so I'll discuss it with them cheers.

This outlet on the block is used in some JDM Subaru's for the auto trans fluid cooler. You can get the block fitting directly from Subaru for around £4 or so. Then all you need is some standard heater hose & a tee piece. The prices these are being sold for are frankly ridiculous
