Being an 05 is it a 2.0 blob or 2.5 hawk?

2.0 blob prodrive pack came with a sportcat and 2nd cat delete. 2.5 has standard cat and 2nd cat delete

if its a blob then its a false economy to replace the PPP sportcat as very little is gained going full decat on it, and at least you wont have any MOT issues

yes that was for a 2.5 sti as it has a standard cat in it which i wanted to replace - note its also a different decat to the one you posted as the 2.0 & 2.5 have a different cat setup where the 1st & 2nd cat join but same overall length downpipe - i actually fitted with a PPP sportcat & decat on my 2.5 sti in the end.

on a 2.0 PPP there is not a lot of difference between a decat & sportcat at that level of tuning, hence i would advise him not to bother - better still he may as well speak to his mapper to discuss the worths & his overall plan, with OP being based in scotland i assume will be Andy Forrest.

i know, and i was just adding more info on to it for him.

not arguing, not dick swinging or owt - just stating that PPP sportcat flows very well without the need to replace for a decat - i assumed with him being a new member he had just heard it had a cat and thought ahh get it out asap.

everybody wins - all the info is on here now

not needed at your power level.
personally I like the look of a front mount on a car but that's just me,I had mine sprayed silver so it was visible.
Spool up time will be slightly slower with a front mount.
nothing wrong with having one at your level it's just not needed that's all unless you are tracking the car.

In Bobs words not mine, it’s more than likely your prodrive cat is causing your restriction.

He was right, and 42 bhp is quite a big difference in my opinion, it was a totally different car with the decat.

Im not sure if Bob is still on here but I think he knows a thing or two about Subaru tuning.
No argument here and definitely no ***** waving with my little acorn.

yeah it was Bob who done my mapping also on my old hawk

@itch202 wouldnt bother with a FMIC either unless you pick up a decent one for handy money
