Default Another guage thread.

I've read almost everything thread on here but being so old the photos and links don't work.

I have oil temp and oil pressure to wire in and want to run both off cylinder 3 with a t piece if possible.(water at s later date)

Here are my sensors and I know behind the alternator is an easy place to install temp but as I'm putting one under 3 I may as well keep the wiring tidy and run both here.

Could someone please tell me the correct t piece.

I'm taking the inlet off to do the fuel pipes & inlet pipe so going to be very busy.

*cant upload pic. Fails at 50%

The temperature goes above number 3
and pressure goes by the alternator.

i guess you could get something like this
Amazon Amazon

and screw it in to the bung above piston 3, I wouldn’t know if you’d get the most accurate temperature reading.

Robsy, I don't think a t-piece would work well for temp - the oil in the t-piece wouldn't necessarily cycle around enough for it to be as warm (or indeed cold) as the oil in the gallery itself.

Henrik is correct. Cylinder 3 under the inlet and under the alternator are the correct spots. I run a braided line from the pressure switch to T-piece which has the OE sensor plugged into it and my gauge sensor.

I can see where you're coming from but being metal and a short distance I think it would be accurate.
I'm sure theres a thread on here ( or facebook) where a guy said it has to be one way and not the other to give the best reading due to flow.

the temp sensor has a brass adapter that screws into the block at cylinder 3, it’s a pain to access, I’ve no pictures of it.

as i understand it, a lot of people remove the original pressure sensor when running gauges so a T piece isn’t really required.

Temp above cyl 3 and pressure behind the alternator.
Having gone down the route of remote fitting as in the picture above I really wouldn’t bother again, all your doing is adding 3-4 places for you to spring a leak and the last thing you want is an inaccurate reading of temp and pressure.
Fit your gauge sensors into your block above cyl 3 and behind the alternator and leave your original pressure sensor on your garage shelf, it only comes on when your engine is goosed anyway.
