Default removing gasket sealant?

Just removed my oil pump for a re-seal - most of the threebond 1215 stuff has stayed on the block side - any quick way off cleaning it off? been going over with a razor blade and brake cleaner so far!

You're doing it the only wat that works. Forget the brake cleaner. That gasket sealer is designed to resist most chemicals. Don't be too aggressive with any mechanical means or you may damage the aluminium. Patience, time and thoroughness are the answer.
