RESONATED or UNRESONATED??
Need to order a new centre section for me 1996 Impreza Wagon (Import).
How much louder is unresonated? I'm guessing it's not much of an increase in performance as the rest of exhuast is original?
Thanks

I had the Prodrive centre on an earlier classic and I didn't like it as it was boomy on the motorway. I now have this combination on my classic wagon which is perfect to my tastes. Warbly on boost, off beat rumble at idle, normal car on the motorway:-
- Hayward & Scott centre section ( de-resonated)
- Prodrive back box (single round exit)
- Cobra sports cat downpipe.

Had de-resonated on my FSTI and resonated with different back boxes. Made little difference on that car with no resonator fitted and no cabin drone at all. Same on my new shape STI, de-resonated and is fine.
Depends on the car, downpipe and rear box combo in my experience.
