Hi All,
Got my car back from S&S in Ayr yesterday afternoon.
They have replaced the clutch and flywheel under warranty.
The car now feels totally different. I didn't realise just how badly the clutch was slipping during gear changes ...
The new clutch is very smooth, but has excellent bite.
Anyway, its a pity that I had to travel to the other side of the country to get a warranty fix carried out, let alone acknowledged as a problem.
Only downer was that the A71 back to Edinburgh is a brilliant driver's road, but the cops must have had a blitz on for the public holiday, 'cause I stopped counting after I'd gone past 7 patrol cars ...
Andrew.

Not sure if it was a P1 clutch, but it definitely feels much better than original clutch.
The mechanic mentioned something about 'upgraded clutch/flywheel', but I didn't push for more info.
I was just happy that I had finally found a dealer that would do the work for me
Andrew.

Had mine done 2 MONTHS ago (Dutch car) and was told yesterday by the dealer that they STILL haven't sent the old clutch back to Holland for the claims procedure even though I've been chasing them twice a week for the last month...
Not happy. But at least I'm not juddering anymore.

Good news then Andrew
My car was in there yesterday, got it back last night, could not find anything amiss, so will have to rolling road it again, see if it has sorted itself out without me noticing.
BTW nothing like driving a curtesy car to make you appreciate your own (well other than the sponge like clutch anyway) 2l Legacy estate with 125,000 miles on the clock, sticking to speedlimits was not exacly a large problem in it.
