Default Sigma alarm fault

Has anyone else had problems with there sigma alarm.
Mine seems to be draining the battery i think.
I changed the batterys in the fob and seems to made it worse , car wont start now unless i use jump leads.
I have rang a few auto electricians , and they say the best thing they can do is disconnect the alarm altogether from the car.
???????
any ideas , help appriciated.

I would be looking at getting your main battery tested/recharged/replaced before condemning the alarm.

There are no batteries in the main control module, I expect there are batteries in the siren assembly in the scuttle so that the alarm continues to sound if the battery is disconnected but don't see why these would flatten the main battery. What makes you think it's the alarm draining the battery? I'd be pulling fuses one at a time to see where the current drain is coming from before ripping the alarm out, it's not a 5 second job to gain access and trace all the wiring through.

When the batteries are knackered they are drawing current all the time, tracker is another favourite to do the same.
