Default sigma alarm fault

hi, i yesterday i tried to lock up my scooby 2000 turbo and when i pressed the alarm fob it locked all the doors except the drivers door. i replaced the battery in the fobs and it hasnt changed a thing. just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem and could give me some advice.

also if i lock the car with the key the same thing happens and i can open the drivers door? not sure its the sigma alarm at fault or possibly the door itself.

any replies would be greatly appreciated. thanks tim.

Which door are you putting the key in?

It sounds like a mechanical fault to me, I think the key should lock the door without the central locking system, I would suspect the alarm system to be OK, can you lock the door from inside, put window down, and try locking from inside by pushing in the tab near door release.

Just gone out to look at mne, pi**ing it down, with the door open on the drivers side, if you use the lock on the inside of the door, press it in and you should feel it kick back against your finger tips as the solonoid kicks in, if you dont feel this, you will have to remove the door card, could be a faulty solonoid in the drivers door.

Door card off then, it must be something mechanical, that the soloniod is connected too, just have a look around that area and see if anything is obvious. It has to be somthing simple.
