Default Ive always wanted a Scooby.....

K127CHB
Hi Guys,

I put a post on here a week to go to see if anyone knew of the Scooby that I bought 4 months ago(picture here hopefully someone will know this car), as by the looks of it you can tell a couple of owners before me were trying to do something special be then for some reason sold it to the guy before me and didn't look after it at all. The story is I bought the car as a little project, but wasn't until I got it home I realised how neglected this car was. I will give you a little example:

No lights plugged in OR working on the car, major fuel leak from the fuel pump, brake discs warped pads (now purchased from GodspeedBrakes) down to metal, no carpet, seats loose...the list was long, and running like a bag of ****!.

After some helpful people and money and time the car goes for its MOT this month, safe and road worthy, and its now an absolute BEAST, below is a list of the mods carried out on this car. Once the MOT has been passed this will be going to HYPERTECH to get retuned

413bhp 384ftlb, originally mapped by Bob Rawle

Nice one bud. What model is it? Nice to see one restored and not another breaking advert. Has it been used as a track car then? Sounds like it.

Hi Mate,

I have some pictures of the car with the seats in it with no roll cage, while the white wrap being installed. The guy I bought it off didn't put the roll cage in, but installed the dashboard as it didn't have one???? lol (also has detachable steering wheel)

The way the roll cage was finished and(missing bolts for the cage and seats) the seats bolted in (or not lol) I think it was going to be a track car but for some reason it didn't get there and then past from pillow to post, no one caring really which is a shame, we have spent a lot of time getting this car "back to normal". I love the car, its different and I'm glad I found it before someone actually killed it... I'm still in 2 minds whether to take the roll cage out and reinstate the stock interior.

I built this car from standard.
It was a beaten up track car and hadn’t seen the road for about 7/8 years when I got it. Was completely standard apart from 2 bucket seats and no interior. All of the mods listed I did and can confirm there all correct. I built the engine, turbo, fitted the six speed setup, brakes suspension. Did all the bodywork and had it wrapped. I have all the pictures of the build and from when I first bought the car.

It’s a shame the interior is messed up. I sourced a full Sti interior for this in mint condition taken from a v2 sti. I even fitted a mint condition dashboard too. Lots of hours work went into this build it’s nice to see someone has it who wants to look after it.

Hi mate,

This is brilliant .. I'm so pleased you have seen this. I really wanted to know the story behind this as I knew who ever did this (you) from the beginning was doing something special... And it's and absolute shame someone has butchered the inside! Now it's in great hands, maybe time to put the interior back together.

Thanks for your reply

Alan

Well after a few years away, and without a impreza since February 2008, I have just bought this car! I just hope its still as good as when you guys had it! Otherwise probably lots of tears. The chap selling on fleabay sent quite a few pictures.(has white Bola alloys now)
I thought I would search and see if anything appeared here and voila If you guys the previous owners can send me some info about the car would be great , I collect it this weekend hopefully.

One pic to start with. Collected the car from my friends in Hereford, they put a few items right.
The car currently has MaxPeedingRods coilovers, seem to harsh and low. So after seeing reviews here on Scoobynet with Meister-R Zeta, looking to get some of these me thinks.
Overall though it goes really well and was nicely modded by the previous owners. It has got a OMP rollcage, had no back seats, but I got a cheap mint WRX seats from flea bay. I hope to go on track/airfield, maybe try Auto-solo or sprint once I get used to an Impreza again.
Oh I must be getting old as it was to loud for my tastes, so I got a slightly bigger silencer welded. Still think its loud but must be my age

Still looking I think
