Default 02 sensor change

Hi. Just changed 02sensor. EML went out. Then started running as rough as a dog...spluttering,hunting,disconnect the sensor so it triggers theEML then car runs fine as usual..clear the code light and it runs rough again? What could be the problem. Any ideas. Thx Chris

Generally with o2 sensors it's best to replace both as sometimes they give conflicting reading, you 'may' also need to reset fuel adaptations in ecu to relearn fueling again.

Ha ha. For all that are not mind readers. I have a 2002 wrx bug eye wagon and changed the front sensor. Re set the ecu, do you mean by disconnecting the battery ? Then yes...

So No then, as the Newage has NVM, so the battery being removed isnt the same as classics . . .

I've changed the front sensor on both an 02 and 05 WRX and experienced no issues. Both with genuine Denso parts. So I'd be confident in saying that Bosch part is causing the issue. And as said, you can't reset the ECU in a Newage without using a Tactrix cable/laptop (I never had to reset either of mine after the replacements).
