Thinking about selling my Scoob
#1
I am seriously thinking of selling 'Scooby', and buying an Audi Convertable (2.6 V6). Has anyone had one of these before.
How would it compare to my UK97 turbo, as far as running costs go etc. I know it's not going to be quick, but i have always loved them.
Cheers
Iain

Hi m8
sold my scoob 6 months ago & regretted it since.
Looking at a new one tomorrow.
3 years ago I wanted a convertible. Looked at the Audi, Bmw & saab.
Saab one hands down. Don't like the interior or the waistlineof the Audi.
Cost to run was not much cheaper than the Scooby was but build quality was 100% better.
Oh and the scuttleshake drove me round the twist. Also getting wet each time you opened the door in the rain. Other than that Iloved it.

Sold my scooby in January ,needed cash, bought an A4 2.6 v6 very smooth and quiet ....not much go tho.. f**kin hate it.Wish I had starved the kids and dog for a few months & kept the STI.
Think long and hard before you sell it , audi not much cheaper on the juice either, for a 100bhp less I would have hoped for better than 23/24 mpg mixed driving.
Only my opinion !... cant fault Audi build etc just no character.

Audi/VW/BMW are characterless lumps or Germanic ****e. They have absolutely no driver involvement or offer any rewards as a drivers car (M3/5 excluded, but we are talking Joe Average wages here). I owned an Audi 80 in the seventies and I hated it. Preferred the wifes Dolomite Sprint actually as a drivers car.
