I've been watching this car closely over the last few weeks and will be cash rich enough next week to buy it, but before I take the plunge, I wanted to garner some opinion from the experts on here.

I really would like to buy from a specialist or private customer, but I also really want a bug eye, standard UK 300 car or STI Type UK with a good history. It seems a reasonable cost (has now dropped from £8,500), but I'm struggling to find a car inspection that will view it due to its age. Are there any experts/specialist garages in the Bedford area that might be able to view it? I'm 70 or so miles away, with two young children and a house undergoing building work, so I don't have the time to go back and forward at the weekends. It would be a case of inspection/deposit/collection.

Any advice more than gratefully received. Maybe someone on here even knows the car?
