Default Help please 2001 wrx import...buying advice.

Hi all ,
i am currently looking at the above car having owned 2 classic's i know general sort off thing's to look out for but is there anything specific to the import to watch for .
should i be worried about running uk fuel or if it has been running it in the past , the chap at the garage said that it had been converted to uk fuel but i thought that was only possible with a re-map ?
also he claim's an output of 280bhp is this correct ?
apart from this the car has covered 43,000 and has full service hitory and priced at £8995 btw it's a 5door

thanks in advance Windy

Dont worry windy, I've Had a Grey Import For 5 1/2 years, bought it in Cyprus (Wifes in the mob), Version 6 WRX STI on a V plate (See my piccy), and had it in UK now for nearly 3 years, and had no problems with the fuel over here. I've put normal unleaded in it, super unleaded and shell optimax, and she's never give me a problem, and ive never had it re-maped. As for the BHP, no he's not pulling your plonker, I was one of the lucky ones to get a 300 BHp (bog standered) scooby's that STi did and like i say, she never give me a problem, so go and buy it and take advantage of the import BHP thing. Get a HKS induction kit, and HKs hyper muffler exhaust (See piccy), and she'll be knocking on the door of 300 Bhp matey

Crack on
