Default Starting car after six months

Breaking the car out next week for its service. Hasn't been started in six months.

I want to crank it over to get the oil mixed about a little before firing it up.
I have been told if I floor the accelerator and turn the key it will turn over and not fire up. Can anyone confirm this

Numerous ways of achieving it but some require codes being reset. Jay he hasn't got HT leads so a little more awkward. Crank sensor would probably be the handiest.
