Found a thread about Mark from lateral saying they aren't very good (lag) but that was from years ago and this looks new. Be interested to find out if anyone has used one as it's a good price and saves over a 1000 on a rotated kit setup..

Wouldn’t fancy one myself...in my opinion a GT35 in a standard position would be laggy,I’ve driven a Gt30 in a standard position setup and that was a lag monster compared to an Appropriate size VF....it was nice when it came on boost and hour latter though Loool.SJ.

My car wasn’t laggy on a aet gt3076 with a 8cm exhaust housing. Turbo technology has moved on a lot Josef running his turbo mahooono gt35 standard position is on a 2.1 walking away with lap records.
Track car again is different to a road car.

Should of mentioned it was on a relatively standard STI "just injectors and air filter"my mate picked the turbo up cheap and just fitted it...your right in saying that turbo tech has improved over the years as i'm talking about 15 years ago now Lol,but its a lag feeling I will never forget.SJ.

Tbh i can't see how having a standard located turbo setup would differ lag wise compared to rotated, as long as the turbo used is of similar quality?
I was just under the impression there wasn't any 600hp capable turbos that fit.. but if they're decent I would definitely consider one when I go forged 2.5.

a 35r might be slightly more laggy but the the top end hit is EPIC-rotated setups are hardly plug and play for only a few hundred rpm of spool and a spare £1500 -a 35r billet will **** 620+ on vpower -thats serious super car baiting power-

The one I have just got from Owens was closer to £2.5k. It’s the same one used on the chevron time attack car.

Every little helps when it comes to spool upYour right about 620+ from a 35R with the correct supporting mods....as that’s the turbo I have and it eats super cars for breakfast.SJ.

Thats why I love Subaru it always brings out a good debate top mount intercooler vs front mount, rotated turbo vs standard position, dump valve vs standard recircI guess it should be whatever works for the individual, well thats my ethos anyway.SJ.
