Gt35r standard position ?

Anyone else seen this or have I missed a thread? Standard fit? |
Interesting.
|
Found a thread about Mark from lateral saying they aren't very good (lag) but that was from years ago and this looks new. Be interested to find out if anyone has used one as it's a good price and saves over a 1000 on a rotated kit setup..

Owen developments have done for a good while with great effect chevron Motorsport sell them. Josef’s time attack car run one and a couple of Whiteline sprint cars have also
|
Wouldn’t fancy one myself...in my opinion a GT35 in a standard position would be laggy,I’ve driven a Gt30 in a standard position setup and that was a lag monster compared to an Appropriate size VF....it was nice when it came on boost and hour latter though Loool.SJ.
|
My car wasn’t laggy on a aet gt3076 with a 8cm exhaust housing. Turbo technology has moved on a lot Josef running his turbo mahooono gt35 standard position is on a 2.1 walking away with lap records.
Track car again is different to a road car. |
my forced performance one is a gt35 front housing and isn't laggy , but being a 2.5 helps alot

Tbh i can't see how having a standard located turbo setup would differ lag wise compared to rotated, as long as the turbo used is of similar quality?
I was just under the impression there wasn't any 600hp capable turbos that fit.. but if they're decent I would definitely consider one when I go forged 2.5. |
Mine is on a GT35R in standard position on a 2.1
Full boost by 4.5k iirc |

I have got the Owens gt35 but have yet to fit it. Will be going on a 2.35 in the next few weeks so will let you know how it performs. |
a 35r might be slightly more laggy but the the top end hit is EPIC-rotated setups are hardly plug and play for only a few hundred rpm of spool and a spare £1500 -a 35r billet will piss 620+ on vpower -thats serious super car baiting power-
|
The one I have just got from Owens was closer to £2.5k. It’s the same one used on the chevron time attack car. |

Simon at chevron did back to back tests both rotated n standard position, there was no difference in spool whatsoever
