Question Fuel > 100 RON

Hi everyone!

My 2nd Goodwood FoS is just around the corner and this time i'd like to go there in my JDM hawkeye.
Only problem is: she still needs 100 octane fuel, since the ECU hasn't been remapped.

Is there any chance of getting fuel > 100 RON in Sussex, preferably BP Ultimate 102?

Cheers,
Thomas

would avoid BP fuel at all costs as Subarus tend to hate it and run crap on it ,,, I will drive with my red light on past a BP and find any other garage rather than put it into one of my scoobs

You'll be fine on Shell V-Power or Tesco 99 Momentum.

I thought about that as well, but octane boosters are stressing the cat.

Iirc I was shopping in a Tesco supermarket at my last visit, didn't know they sell their own fuel!
Good call, I think I'll give it a go. I should be fine with 99 RON for one or two tankfuls and if I didn't boost it too much. Thx!

I'm running BP Ultimate 102 now for 15,000 mls, never had any problems, car runs fine.
Over here BP is the only provider who guarantees 100+ RON. That and the inner engine cleanig effect convinced me about Ultimate 102. Even if Bob Rawle doesn't like it too much.

Yep, you're probably right...
But I'd like to keep the car as original as possible.

Thanks for the input, guys, appreciated!

Aral (BP 102) is brilliant in Germany, don't think you can get it here in the UK though, It should be fine on Shell Vpower (99), or tesco's 99 if you have to, though the ethanol content in the tesco 99 is higher than the shell so not so great.

Don't do a trackday without some booster in if not re-mapped from it, Isn't shell also 100 in some places in Germany? we get ****e fuel in the uk

looking forward to FOS too There is a shell at Fontwell roundabout about 4miles from Goodwood (east side of it on the A27)

I've tried Aral 102 in Germany and noticed occasional knock in my PSI3 monitor so stayed away from it. A friend with a turbo Colt mentioned some people having issues with it, too.

before the car was mapped it was pushed hard , not as hard as a track day of course but the fuel issue was fine with shell or tesco
