Default Leather interior

Just bought myself some black leather interior the classic, not in bad condition, needs a small repair here or there and a good clean/restore on the them, bught the kit etc so all good there.

My question, as the drivers bolster has some wear, after i have repaired it can i remove the seat off the runners and swap it over with the passenger seat ? That way the repaired bolster will be on the passenger side seat belt buckle and less prone to more wear ?

dont have the seats yet to check myself

Thanks

Not so simple -- My drivers seat has the same wear to the bolster. A couple of years ago I intended to do a swap, but decided it was too complicated (I actually had the seat out) : cant remember exactly the reason now, may have been something to do with the position of the Safety Belt anchorage on the seat..

Ok cheers bud, i did suspect it wasnt doable, but would of thought the seat belt anchor was on the seat frame not the seat itself ?

easy things always turn out to be not possibled lol

I had a look at doing this as well but what stopped me was the lever to recline the seat would be in the centre of the car when switched round and I'm sure it contacted the centre console but I think your right with the seat belt anchor being on the seat rail so with a bit of playing around I think you could make it work but to much hassle for me!

I suppose it would be possible, but it would involve dismantling the whole seat (both of them..!) - I couldn't be bothered and didn't investigate further.

See what U think when U get them -- might be easier than I thought...!

After looking it's not possible as said above the recliner adjuster can't be reversed onto the other side of the seats . Never mind

I'm sure an upholsterer could swap the leather seat coverings?
