On Wednesday I was down at TDR, it was time for another map on my 2.1 stroker.
On the first map after a 1000 mile run a conservative 384bhp & 330ft/lb was achieved , this felt really good to drive, spooled and pulled so well.
Now the engine has done 3000 miles it was time to try and squeeze some more out of it. Took it down to TDR for Mark to work his magic, after a couple of hours on the dyno and a road run up the A46, ended up leaving with an impressive 442bhp & 390ft/lb. Not bad for a TMIC
I'm more than happy with the results, Mark did say he thought there was a bit more to be had but to leave it where it is and run it for a few more 1000 miles before trying again.
The drive home was epic, can't stop smiling
Big thanks to Mark and the Team at TDR so pleased with what they have achieved with my 2.1 build and the mapping.

Ive had a couple of little set backs with waiting on parts for the fuel supply but all sorted now so a new mapping day has been set. Will be on the rollers in a couple of weeks as thats the next available spot when were both free. Its gave me more time to get a few other little jobs done as been flat out with work lately.

Come down Maz if your not working
Little set backs, I know about them Glad you've got it sorted now . . Think I'll pop down and show my face would like to hear your car on the rollers
Great to see you get a great result from it too - nice one
Yes there was a little bit of project creep, it started off 2 years ago just as a 2.1 stroker build with a plan to do other mods later ... everything kind of snowballed and got bought along the way and were all fitted at the same time . . I'm very pleased with it, results better than expected. Hitting 1bar @ 3600 and 1.8 bar @ 4100

TDR highly recommended. My spec c type ra had lots of work done by them. Charles I think I seen your car there too once.
Harry
Harry you probably did it's spent a bit of time there due to Alcateks not liking my car and Syvecs being DOA. 2 days to swap engines and 2 months to get an ECU to run the bloody thing!
Your Spec C RA is very nice I've seen that a few times

Seems you have been patient Thanks mate. At heart Im a huge wagon fan. Always loved them.
Thanks
Oh the hassle we had with ECUs was unimaginable, my original Alcatek from MY00 2000 turbo struggled to start the car then wouldn't idle less than 3k rpm tried 2 other known working Alcateks and they had same issue, 4 new Alcateks were sent out on different firmware versions to be tried they had same issue, these were tested in other cars and worked fine!? Put my original Subaru STi ECU back in and car started fine, Couldn't run with that though due build and mods engine loom was replaced but that didn't help any. . . Mark spent hours on phone and remote support from Alcatek but no joy. Ended up deciding to try a Syvecs instead , 1st one sent out was DOA that had to be returned and replaced then finally got a working one and she started first time!
For some reason my car doesn't like Alcatek or Alcatek doesn't like my car . ..so weird hey ho on the right path now with Syvecs
