DPF delete-anecdotal comments. MOT !
I know that there are "ways and means" of passing the MOT with decat exhaust on a petrol engined car.
What about the diesel engine and the DPF element in the exhaust system ? From a google search it appears that it is a visual test only -at the moment !! rumours this may change- but varying views on the 'discreet weld' as to wether this is a pass or fail.
Don't want anyone to give secrets away (or you could pm me) but is it another "ways and means" scenario ?
I don't have a diesel, just seeking information.
Cheers
Brian.

Its only a visual at the moment, but this may change in the future. As long as the DPF casing is present its a pass so long as the emissions pass. Even if the casing has welds on it is only a pass and advise as when DPF filters are professionally cleaned by the likes of clean team etc or in the case of exchange DPFs the casing is cut and welded.
