Default 9.5 inch rotas

Can anyone help. Looking at buying a set of 9.5 inch Rotas to go on a sti bug. My questions are, what size tyres and what off-set to go for to fit and look right?

Went 225/40/18 on my old hawkeye and they looked stretched and in all honesty if you drive your car hard not what you want to be putting on there!!

225/40/18 in the pic below and you can see the rim exposed!!

Also had 235/40/18 and they where a much better fit, but you might have them catch slightly on the rears depending how low your car is!!!

I can never see the point of a set of wide rims with skinny tyres, they look daft and can't be safe.

The op didn't mention tyre sizes, just asked for opinions and got mine!

yeah that's fair enough mate. It's one of those topics that tends to kick people into 1 of 2 camps. Either the functional, OEM, sensible, dynamically good camp....or the stance y0! tram lining, not very sensible camp.

I must admit that I think the cars with wide wheels 9.5 - 10" look great. But I know they don't drive particularly well. (for street daily use)

Where ??

I've asked this before.

I run 225/40r18 on my Non-Widetrack Blobeye, Stock Prodrive OZ 18" wheels.

Always wondered if i could squeeze a 235 tyre on there, just for that bigger footprint but it's close already at the rear as i'm on BC coils
