Default Steering wheel column problem

My steering wheel pushes upwards on the top and bends backwards for some reason. Kinda hard to describe with words so here's some pics

Any ideas?

looks to me like the car has been hit and the column has collapsed like its designed to , to prevent piercing the drivers chest on impact.

if the car hasnt been hit the car the column came from has, either way its not supposed to do that and def need sorted asap

yeh its not been hit, but i think the column has broken or something. it only bends backwards though, not left or right or down. I need to look at some schematics to find out how the thing works to then figure out whats broken,

Looks like it's loose around the support cradle where bolt 4 is on the diagram.
Sound very dangerous to me.Hope you get it sorted.

or is it an adjustable column & the lever isn't clamped down properly?
