I have just taken delivery of a genuine Nardi suede steering wheel for my sti ra. My question is what different types of boss and or spacers combinations are people using for their aftermarket steering wheels.

Nice steering wheel! I don't have experience with any other boss kits but I have just fitted a similar looking Sabelt steering wheel to an ra using a HKB boss which is double drilled to accept different stud patterns which would include your Nardi steering wheel.
I went for the HKB kit as it kept the indicator self cancel and came with the resistor to cancel the air bag light on the dash.
It fitted well although it moved the steering wheel rim further away from the stalks than I thought it would, I can still reach them though. My steering wheel is also semi-dished like yours.

I like the idea of having the wheel closer to me. Do you know what size your boss is? I know my wheel has an 80mm dish.

It doesn't need a boss to fit your replacement steering wheel. Your OEM one should be on a boss as it is. The center horn push part just pulls off to reveal the fixings.

Oh yes Micky, you have a genuine point there as its jdm, yes will have a stock boss already.
Early classics are fairly limited in boss choice so most go for the OMP/MOMO Depending on whether you have an STi wheel with the integral boss or the 2 piece set up you have different options. The only draw back to the 2 piece OEM is separating the bastids as the torx screws are insanely soft !
I just go with the OMP on mine, what I would really like is the NRG slim hub but it doesn't fit

What HKB boss did you need for your v3 ? I didn't understand why you wouldn't need one as I thought the OE wheel/boss was one piece??
bit of a thread bump but my car is fitted with a momo quick release wheel which needs binning as its well worn, what other options do I have using the same boss/quick release.
I like momo/omp and having seen the above nardi I wouldn't mind one of those.
The 70mm PCD's holes (M5 size) are chamfered/recessed for (the supplied) CSK Allen bolts (sit flat with face), for the boss side... Whilst the 74's are threaded (M5 at 0.8mm thread pitch), for the steering wheel side.
Plus there are loads of these types of adapters on eBay.

But Nardi steering wheels aren't drilled the same as your old Momo one (and therefore the holes in your boss) - so the Nardi wheel's and your boss's holes won't line up!
Unless your boss happens to be dual PCD, of course!...?

Esp. if you were to get a 'tankslapper' on -- can't get the required leverage/ control with your upper arms (despite not having to go through as much distance for any given amount of degrees of turn). Too 'snappy'.
Yep, I didn't like the 330mm one from my old Clio sport let alone any smaller, so put a 350mm on. I think different cars have different leverage.
IMO 350 is perfect for gc8 imprezas, some go 330 which is probably the smallest you can go.
