Piston are very good - have used around 6 set's of the 2618 Grade Mahle's with no problems at all.
Very unlikely the piston's will be the cause of the non start tbh.

Thanks mick
Not to sure whats goin on with her, couldnt get her to kick so tore her back down to tripple check everything and found more oil than im used to in the bores. Was thinking due to the extra clearence the pistons run they may take a bit of starting to get some compression out of them

we pretty much exclusively use 2618's in all of our builds as well as supplying them to other builders and customers

as above the non-start has nothing to do with piston spec

there is something odd going on there with all that oil about unless you have machined them for 1/2" bore clearance???
