I usually use Shell V Power fuel but I've seen quite a lot of promos on BP's New Ultimate fuel and was wondering if anyone has used it and if it's any better or would consider the change from V Power?
This new stuff they are advertising is 97RON and if it is anything like the old ultimate which was also 97RON most mappers regarded it as an awful stuff.
allways made me ask the question why isn't it cheeper,
the advert used to say normal car run on this will do roughly 28miles more to the tankfull, therefore making said car more enviromentley friendly, SO WHY AIN'T THERE LESS TAX ON IT MR CAMERON ?
I get better mileage with the Tesco 99 than the V Power.. Is anyone else in the same boat?
I am the opposite, I get 2mpg more with V Power. However, I suspect the Tesco 99 locally isn't always Tesco 99, and once it was definitely only 95 (fuel consumption plummets) . Even V power can be inconsistent. I know its the good stuff as my mpg immediately improves. (340R)
Just out of interest, what mileage is everyone getting to a full tank? Pottering around with the occasional blast I get about 200 miles, that sound about right? (my first STI PPP)

With my 2006 STi PPP got around 240 miles to a tank, full tank to reserve light.
With my 2013 saloon 340r getting 280 miles to a tank sometimes 300.

Brimfull to red light, it`s pretty consistant over time. My wrx wagon 277hp best journey was to near Lyon, France, 356 miles on a tank, not having hit red light ! Anything less than 260 miles to a tank would be disappointing.
