Default 2008 STI Hatch PPP Exhaust

I'd like a bit more noise from the exhaust and am considering a straight through pipe. What do you guys think about the difference this will make? I've had scoobs back in 2001-2005 (STIs and a P1) and they all had a nice deep burble plus sounded great when on the gas and would love to get the same from my hatch. Cheers.

Hi mate . Just done the same sort of thing came from a classic wrx 335bhp full stainless tsl system. Inc manifold to a 330s couldn't live without the noise so brought a bit of a bargin magnaflow 3" system with quad 4" tails . now it's back the prodrive box wasn't loud at all really . Also feels so much smoother trough the rev rang now .

I've also just bought a 330s and not happy how quiet it is, do the 330s just have a standard system?

Cheers guys, if I understand correctly, changing to a straight through pipe within my prodrive system will not give me what I want so I'm best getting a new exhaust which seems a shame (as my prodrive exhaust is in very good condition) not to mention the cost!

no, the 330s has a Stainless Steel Prodive back box with 3.5" tail pipes.

I like these ARK Grip systems though....

I started with the standard STi system, then went ProDrive decat, centre and backbox and now have a custom back box as wanted a bit more noise and protrusion.

I have this Crawford Gymkhana backbox spare now I've sold my hatchback, I never fitted it but I would imagine it's loud! lol
It's not brand new but as good as.
