I was messing around on ask mid earlier checking to see if my previous motors were still on the roads. Then I entered my registration for my current car and it only came back as not insured. Turns out my insurance was on auto renewal and my debit card had expired.
So ive been driving around for a week with no insurance frequently passing squad cars and a vosa checkpoint and haven't been pulled over, I'm quite shocked as I'm usually very unlucky

Same thing happened to me with my house insurance. It always auto-renewed then one year it didn't .

Roll forward one year and I asked them where my renewal was, oh you haven't been insured the last year they gleefully told me. Muppets......

It never crossed our mind as they were dealing with an insurance claim against our contractor over the year.........

A simple email or phone call to say they couldn't take the payment would have been nice though instead of leaving me in the dark the silly beggars.

All sorted now anyway thanks to quote me happy
